Has any one thought or questioned yourselves about 'Why do we celebrate women's day?' I don't know have you questioned or not. Now, I'm going to tell about "women's day" in brief passages. Yesterday, I wrote this short article in the context of women's day. I thought to post it here but I hadn't got time to post even in night. So I'm posting it today.
The reason of to start women's day is movements of workingwomen(మహిళా కార్మికులు).
First international women's day was conducted in Copenhagen in 1910. Before the international women's day was conducted, first national women's day had conducted in America on 28th February, 1909.
Last Sunday, in February 1913 women's day was conducted in Russia. On that day, women conducted rallies against the first world war.
"We don't want war, we want food and peacefulness" by saying it women campaigned in February, 1917 last Sunday.
The United Nation Organisation (UNO) announced that 1975 was the women year. In that year, women's day was conducted on 8th March.
To identify power of women, member states of UNO decided to conduct a "women's day" in a year. This decision was taken in 1977. After that in many countries, people are celebrating women's day on 8th March.
