The Great Women Obbavva

Chitradurga Fort is renowned for its Kallina Flor/Ukinna Flor(Iron Fort)/Yelu Suttina(Seven round)Fort straddles several hills and a peak overlooking a flat valley in the Chitradurga District, Karnataka, India.

Fort which were built in parts by the Palegar Veer Madakari Nayaka. It comprises a series of seven enclosure walls in Kannada. Eighteen ancient temples can be found inside the fort. The Fort of Chitradurga with seven circumambulations surrounds the seven hills of Chinmuladri range. Actually the construction of this fort started during 10th Century AD and completed in 18th Century AD during the rule of Palegars. According to an estimate the total length of the fort is about 8 Kms. This fort as 19 gateways, 28 postern gates, 35 secret entrances, 4 invisible entrances, 50 warehouses, apart from other monuments.

Madakari Nayaka ruled Chitradurga.  Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore wanted to besiege the fort of Chitradurga.  But many trails went vain and he was unable to occupy this fort. A chance sighting of a woman entering the Chitradurga fort through an opening in the rocks led to a clever plan by Hyder Ali to send his soldiers through the hole.

Legend of Onake(in Telugu Rokali) Obavva Story

Wife of a soldier called Kalanayak was guarding a fort tower, substituting for her husband during a lunch break.  Her name was  Obavva. She was guarding the Chitradurga Fort at a crack opening, a secret opening (where only one person could barely squeeze through).  While fetching water, she heard the muted sounds of enemy soldiers attempting to enter the fort through the crevice. With great presence of mind she immediately hid behind the crevice in the fort and hit at each soldier trying to squeeze through the crevice with Onake, the name given in Kannada to a masse or pestle, a wooden rod used for pounding paddy. In this process, she bravely killed several enemy soldiers.

By the time her husband appeared on the scene, she had already dragged several bodies of dead soldiers into the fort wall and was standing around the dead bodies with the blood stained Onake in her hand. Kalanayak blew the bugle when other soldiers also joined him and killed all the enemy soldiers.

Still this spot has called Onake(in Telugu Rokali) Obavvana Kidi

Regards
Avani

A layman's account on Gandhiazation of India.

India had political leaders who were treated like demi-gods. We were lucky to have leaders like Gandhi, Patel, Tilak, Nehru, Netaji, Gokhale, Lala Lajpat Rai, Rajaji, Prakasam pantulu, etc. whose stature and statesmanship were no less than any world leader at that point of time. They had the same appeal for haves and have not's. It is no exaggeration to say that no country in the world had such stalwarts in one generation of time.

We had our independence from the clutches of British after a long drawn struggle. The country saw a gory bloodshed. There was sense of freedom but at the same time feeling of despair looking at the riots. There was hope that Nehru would break free all our shackles. But, alas! he was also a human like us and could deliver only that much.

As it turned out, Nehru gave us a "leader", none but his daughter Indira Gandhi, who turned India into a Kleptocracy. Country's leadership became puppets at the hands of Indira. There was no respite even  after her death. It is the turn of her younger son Rajiv Gandhi to "rule" India. We were living under a "Disguised dictatorship" of a family but not Democracy. Except when there was non-congress rule like JP's in 1977 and during tenure of PV Narasimha Rao India has practically been under dictatorship. Congress was nothing but a private estate of one family.

Rajiv Gandhi Breakfast Scheme, Pondicherry; Rajiv Ratna Awas Yojana, Delhi; Rajiv Arogyasri Health Insurance scheme, Andhra Pradesh; Rajiv Gandhi Computer Literacy Mission, Assam; Rajiv Gandhi Bridges and Roads Infrastructure Development Programme, Haryana; Rajiv Gandhi Vidyarthi Suraksha Yojana, Maharastra; Rajiv Gandhi Tourism Development Mission, Rajasthan; Indira Kranthi Patham Scheme and Indira Jeevitha Bima Pathakam, Andhra Pradesh; Indira Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and Indira Gandhi Landless Agriculture Labour Scheme, Maharastra; Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Vivah Shagun Yojana, Haryana; Indira Gandhi Calf-Rearing Scheme, Andhra Pradesh.

Wondering what these all are?? Well, the ghosts of the  Gandhis' don't leave us any soon you see. At present we have as many as 500 govt. programmes under the names of Nehru-Gandhi clan--Indira, Rajiv, Nehru-- both at center and at states. You can find many such programmes running into fifties in AP itslef.

And yet we say we're the largest democracy, ah the irony! The govt. didn't find any other leader who is worth naming for any of the schemes. Hmm! India is a private company run by the Gandhis and we're all its workers waiting for their mercy to name a scheme!

In the name of the father, the daughter and grandson...amen!!

An earphone gave me a memory

hi friends, was here with an incident that happend an year ago during my visit to Akshardham Temple in Delhi..
I reached to the premises of the temple in the evening along with my family in a bus, but we have very less time as we reached there at 5pm the closing time of the temple is 7pm so we are in hurry to get in to the temple so the bus droped us at the main gate before that they announces that all the electric goods are prohibited inside the temple so we left all the cameras & mobile phones in bus itself. We reached the Q & there is a checking poin before we enter inside the temple nera the checking point the security man sent me back as i was carrying earphone of my ipod in my pocket they said they were not allowed inside the temple, i asked him to send me inside as i was having only earphones in my pocket but he denied.

My parents & other members came along me went inside the temple but i was left outside, the security person asked me to throw the ear phones out side & get inside but i was not suppposed to throw those earphones because they were branded & that too presented by my sister.

I came out of the Q & went to the clock room to store them there till i come back but there was a big Q in front of the clock room so i went to a shop near by & asked him to keep those earphones with him & said him that i wiil collect them after i come back actually he dont know english & i dont know hindi  so i mixed both the languages & asked 'bhayya.. earphone tere paas keep bhayya'  he looked at me in different manner & asked me to go to the clock room & store them there but the situation near the clock room is worse we have to fill a form & stand in big Q so i decided to hide the ear phone near a tree so that when i return from the temple i thought i could collect them from that place, so i was in search of a place to hide the ear phones in the mean time while i was searcheing my looks are different & atlast i got place to hide them when i wen near to that place & about to keep them there i was surrounded by police men i got afraid by seeing them there is no voice from my mouth when they asked me who are you ? i was about to speak but no voice is heard from my mouth i was so scared by seeing them with guns first they asked me in hindi  as u know that i dont know hindi much then i was unable to say that i dont know hindi due to tense then a telugu officer came to me & asked me in polite then i explained him this is the problem he said it to other police men & they got relaxed & left the spot , even me too left spot by thanking to that telugu police man.

Then i thought that nothing is going to work so i have 2 options infront of me
1) have to wait near the exit gate till my parents come out of the temple
2) have to search the bus where it is parked & keep them in the bus

so i preferred to serch the bus where it is parked as the parking place is very big but by luck all the buses vere parked seperately so i went that place i spotted the bus with in 10-15min & got in to it & placed them in side the bus & returned to the temple :P
this time no one caught me :)
Later i met my parents inside the temple & explained this & they started laughing at me :)

this is the expression when the policemen surrounded me :P
This is the expression when they left me :P

An incident eitherways

As I said before I am a hyper active girl. In my mom's words I am a troublesome girl. I am very much curious in everything. When I see something new, immediately I try to follow that. And I try to implement at home. I can say I am very greedy to learning the things. I don't mind whether it is expedient or not. If it is curious to me just I do that. Later my nonsense demands so many heads and days to recover the situation.
My parents got so many headaches because of this nature. I want to tell one of my nonsense. Get ready to close this window: p

I saw so many drunken individuals. And I saw in movies too. When they take alcohol their behavior totally changes. I always think about that particular behavior is it real or not. I asked some of my friends and elders that are they really unaware of their behavior or they behave intentionally.

All said nothing will be happening when you take limited measure. But I never satisfied with this answer. So I wanted to try the spirits. Immediately my mind elevated so many questions like when, where, with whom like that.

I asked some of my friends. They also ready to join with me. We sketch the plan carefully (that’s what we thought). We were thirsty to implement the plan immediately. According to the plan we went to my grandma’s home, is in a small town.

And wanted to buy the liquor in the store and we drive to our farmhouse, lock the door, afterwards we wanted to try that. Because we didn't want to get any mess. If any one of our parents knew about this, simply they hang us. So we didn’t want to disclose this anyone. That’s the reason we wanted to buy the liquor from the store. If we take from home, there is a chance to identify that some liquor bottles were missing. So we didn't want to take any chance.  This is the entire ground plan.

One day we started the operation liquor: P. We started from home in the morning and  went to liquor store to buy. Actually we don't know the names, tags, brands, titles and differences etc.
So we went into the store and asked the sales boy about our requirements. Asked him we need 5 bottles of liquor and should be strong enough. He saw us from top to bottom, and then he told us girls what are you talking about? I don't understand.  Let me call me my sir. He went inside, and screamed sir some girls came for liquor. Then we heard somebody’s voice was asking from inside who are they, give them whatever they want. But this sales boy again shouted sir they are girls, and not asking clearly. Again that man said okay am coming. After 2 minutes he came out from the chamber and asked us girls what you want.

This is a liquor store. Not a grocery store he said. Then he glanced at our faces. Next second his mouth opened like a big man whole. Besides my situation was also like that. I gasped in shock. In addition I was sweaty. My mind was filled with contagious fear. I felt the entire area was suffocated. Is it you baby? He asked me. I was watching his face. Noting come out from my mouth, because he is my daddy friend.  He knows me very well. Really my head swirled. I didn't understand what was happening.  His condition was also like me. Finally he asked me what do you want baby. Why did you want these bottles? I didn’t understand what I have to tell. Suddenly without intention I said uncle, aunt sends us here to get some bottles. Since aunty got some gathering

So she wanted few bottles. That was my answer. Really he got mad.  Did aunty send you here?  He makes sure with us. Meanwhile my voice got confidence and said yes uncle. He got angry at his wife. Oh did she have liquor party. What’s going on my back? Really he was stunned. Then he said I will send the bottles with the boy.  Don't come like this one more time.  Go to home. He said very gently.

We ran down, and took a long breath and thanks to god. Then.......

I think you can imagine what happened later. Oh it takes about one month to set the things back.  And so many heads needed to solve this. It's all happened 5 years back. But still aunty thought I am not a girl. I am a devil: P

Sita Mata

I am honored to introduce the Great Godess Seeta mata temple which is one of the historic temple in India.

The holy place of Sitamarhi is situated almost midway from Allahabad and Varanasi, The two cities of religious importance. Jangiganj and Bhiti are situated on the GT Road (National Highway-2, also known as Sher Shah Suri Marg) from where roads lead to Sitamarhi. It is 13 Kms from Jangiganj and just 7 Kms from Bhiti. One can get bus or taxi from Gopiganj, an important town between Allahabad and Varanasi.

According to Ramayana Maa(mother) Sita went under earth from where King Janak found the boon-like Goddess Mata Sita(she (Maa Sita was found under earth while King Janak was ploughing the field in order to perform a ritual for rain as there was drought)). It is said that this temple is the place where Mata Sita went into the earth when she willed it; when she was living with Saint Walmiki in the forest of Sitamarhi.

Sitamarhi has got immense significance, because it was here that Lord Rama’s wife Maa Sitaji was abandoned, gave birth to Luv & Kush and descended into the lap of Mother Earth forever. The only existing Valmiki Ashram on the banks of the river Ganges is located here. Sitamarhi thus carries deep religious values and significance and is considered a holy ‘Teerth’ like Prayagraj & Kashi. Today, here stands a magnificent and beautiful Shree Sita Samahit Temple visited by thousands of pilgrims everyday with deep faith and reveranice.

Since ancient times, India has been the fountainhead and torch-bearer of knowledge and learning. The exalted teachings enshrined in the Vedas are universally appealing and benefit the entire humanity. Apart from these, we have the two great Epics –‘The Ramayana’ written by Maharishi Valmiki, and ‘The Mahabharata’ written by Maharishi Ved Vyas. In the Ramayana, Maharishi Valimiki has given a detailed account of Lord Rama and his consort Maa Sita. He very delicately defined the nobility of Maa Sita and her sincerity, devotion and sacrifice which made her an ideal woman. Sitaji’s life is full of pathos, agony and suffering. In the entire mythology of India, no other woman has excelled Sitaji in her purity, love and sacrifice. In Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana, a place near Allahabad called Sitamarhi is where Sitaji is said to have descended into the lap of Mother Earth forever. This sacred spot is very near to Valmikiji’s Ashram on the banks of holy Ganges. At this place, one feels vibrations of peace & bliss along with the feeling that there exist the blessings of Maa Sita.

Once the place was visited by Swami Jitendranand Tirth and he had desired that a very magnificent memorial to Sitaji be built here. The Sita Samahit temple stands exactly on the mound where Bhagwati Sitaji descended into Mother Earth. This was built with the kind help of Shri. Satya Narain Prakash Punj, promoter of Punj Lloyd Limited, New Delhi who was inspired by his mother. Within the campus of the main temple there exists temples of Maa Sita & Lord Shiva. There also stands 108 ft. high statue of Ram Bhakt Hanuman installed on an artificial rock of 20 ft. Under this hillock there is a cave having small temple of Hanumanji.

Sitamarhi is a historical place of immense significance and is being visited by large number of pilgrims with great faith and devotion. It is one of the five ‘Teerths’ (holy places) in Poorvanchal which are Prayagraj, Sitamarhi,Sarnath. Vindhyavasini & Kashiraj, all can be visited within 3 days.

Aditi short film song

Hi friends, am back here with lyrics of a song but not a song from regular movies it is a song from short film titled ADITI starring Nandu & Geetha madhuri.

MUSIC  : Viswanath Ghantasala,
LYRICS : Kittu Vissapragada.

the song was well sung by geetha madhuri & it had good lyrics the music was so melodious the lyrics are as follows  :
